White breasted kingfisher in Penang
Be free as a bird. Sketch of the day in my moleskine art journal is of a white breasted kingfisher in the garden.

I think you would like Gerald Durrel. He was Lawrence Durrell’s (The Alexandria quartet) little brother. Gerald was an animal lover and zoologist. Try to find “My family and other animals”. Hilarious. (And only you would risk her life to fix a fallen bird’s nest) (Well maybe I have on occasions) I think the animals like your garden because they know they are safe. 🙂

There are so many beautiful creatures in my garden. It really is fun getting to know them all.

There are so many birds here and they do shifts. I was watching a bird yesterday that visited for about an hour. Just drinking water and swimming and then sunbathing to dry off. Simple breathtaking. I have to google it to see what bird is it. And then today I had two monitor lizards that scuttled past me as I stood on a chair to fix a fallen birds nest. It really is like a zoo here.

O wow. It must be really beautiful. This one was using the garden as his play ground. ☺️

Lots of movement. Nice. (J’ai toujours aimé les martin-pêcheurs) In your garden again? You should get funding for nature preservation. 😉
