Inspired by my trip to my friend’s no kill perma culture farm.
Sketch no 1446 in my moleskine sketchbook is of Benjamin and Barbara the black rooster and chicken 🐓
There were so many farm animals running around on the farm and vegetables growing. I’ve never been on a no kill farm before.
‘The Ayam Cemani is an uncommon breed of chicken from Indonesia. They have a dominant gene that causes hyperpigmentation (fibromelanosis), making the chicken mostly black, including feathers, beak, and internal organs’ ~ Wikipedia

I’m back to my drawings after quite a long break.
These are my first ones for the year 2021 and I am thankful that my art will keep my company during lockdown, otherwise I’m not quite sure I know what to do with myself.

Have a beautiful and creative week.

And it’s a wrap for 2020. 🎉
My third and final completed portrait commission, should be arriving in the UK anytime now.
Thank you to my friend Amanda for supporting my December charity drive ♥
For December, I’m donating 50% of all portrait commissions to my charity of choice, which is the House of Hope in Penang.
It is a community centre that helps the hardcore poor by giving them somewhere to go for food, for help and their children are cared for and sent to school. More importantly it’s a safe space to make sure people within the community are looked after.
The lady who runs this place has been doing this for a long time and I know that every penny donated is given back into running this centre.
This charity connects me to my own dad who passed away 8 years ago. He did a lot of work for people in this constituency and he taught me to always give back.

Today’s word is Gratitude. It’s been a really blessed week in so many ways and I am truly grateful to the universe for watching over me 🙏
