Happy weekend ⭐
Sketch of the day no 1233 is of a Portrait of woman.
Let’s try something different today 😁
Happy weekend ⭐
Sketch of the day no 1216 is of a man in despair.
Final one for now from the Dom McCullins inspired figurative drawings. I will carry on using the charcoals which I am really enjoying and practice drawing more people.
Growth and change is good. There is no need for despair.
I started my sketch a day in April 2013 and I decided from the onset that I will not draw people. In the 6 years I have done 5 bearded characters for Movember.
Now with charcoal, I have changed my mind and I have decided to start drawing people and figures because it’s been an area I have conciously stayed clear from. It’s not that I don’t find people interesting to draw but I feel it’s a subject that is really difficult to get right and that scares me.
My intention here, as with all my other sketches is to capture a feeling rather than a realistically perfect representation of the subject which my phone can do better than me. 📱
Sketch of the day no 1214 is of a portrait of man inspired by The exhibition of Don McCullin at the Tate Britain.
What do you think?
Don Mccullin photo exhibition runs until 6 May 2019 at Tate Britain, London.
Pick the healthier option to make better choices.🍟
I’ve been a vegetarian for about 30 years now and it’s really important for me to eat right especially when I’m travelling and away from my routine. It’s not always easy to eat well, depending on where I am. When I was younger, my body would cope somehow but nowadays if I don’t have a proper well balanced diet, I get tired easily and I feel crappy and unproductive.
Sketch of the day no 1212 in my moleskine sketchbook is of a basket of sweet potato fries.
I went to check out the Van Gogh in Britain exhibition at Tate Britain, London.
It is quite a large exhibition with more than 50 works by Van Gogh but the exhibition includes quite a lot of works of artists who has influenced Van Gogh during his stay in England and who he in turn influenced.
It is interesting to see some of the influences and comparison to better understand his works and his life but there aren’t as many of his major works as I had imagined there to be.
Van Gogh and Britain is at Tate Britain, London, until 11 August

I woke up and decided that today is going to be a pink inspiration day.

Does this spark joy?
I’m channeling flamingos today. I’ve been playing around on my computer and i think I’m gonna paint this one just because i love flamingos.
What do you think? 💕
