Wishing you a happy new year!

Bestnine 2018

As the last day of 2018 draws to a close, I take time to reflect on what I have achieved this year.
I have been guilty of forgetting successes and focusing on failures so when people ask me I would tell them my year was OK when in reality there is no shame in failure if you can overcome it or learn from it.
This year has been incredible, amazing, not just OK. It has been a turning point in my outlook in life. It’s not that this year is better than last year but the difference is that I have learnt to appreciate myself and finally acknowledged how much I have achieved and grown.
My art journey dragged me out of the doldrums and I have learnt a lot about myself and what I can achieve since I started my sketchbook in 2013.
I sincerely wish everyone one of you a happy new year and may the new year bring us love, peace and joy ❤️

Please check out my Etsy shop.

It’s taken a while but I’ve finally uploaded some of my new paintings onto my Etsy shop.

My new year’s resolution is to start being more organised and focused with my art and to start selling works.

Otherwise how am I to survive as an artist?

I don’t have a gallery yet to sell my art for me. (someone jump in here!) Selling and marketing has never been my strong point, which is why I’m an artist. Ironically, without the sales skill, I will not survive doing what I do. Maybe this is the reason artists have part time jobs.

If you have been following my blog for a while you probably have realised that I do have part time jobs. Visit where my friend and I blog about our hometown, manage airbnbs and offer guided food tours.

Now go check out my shop, create some traffic and help to share the news. 🌹

Thank you for your support. I appreciate it 🙏

Happy Monday.
Now that I have painted these nostalgic traditional lunch boxes from my childhood, it’s time to learn to cook the food that goes inside.

Time is ticking…

Time is ticking

When I was younger time and energy was abundant, it was never something I thought about. Now time feels limited and energy is on reserve. It’s made me revalue my life and prioritise better how I want to spend the rest of my time on Earth 🌍

Golden skull

I forgot I had done this in London whilst I was going through my skull phase. I often think of death and my time left on earth. Sometimes I get depressed, sometimes it spurs me to get on with living my life to the fullest ☠️💀
