“Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back everything is different ” C. S. Lewis So tomorrow Malaysia will start opening up and allowing interstate travel and more businesses will be opening. It’s been a surreal 3 months where it felt like nothing changed for me at home, but in fact a lot has changed within me, a lot has changed around the country and changes are happening in our world. I hope our world will be a kinder place, a global home where we respect each other no matter the colour of our skin and background, a home where we embrace our natural environment and wildlife. 🐶
Fun fact. However much i love dogs, I’ve never ever owned one.
Day no 56 of covid-19 lockdown in Malaysia. We have another month of partial movement control. The only joy for me is to go for long walks after being trapped in my tiny apt for so long. What are you looking fowards to? 🌈 ⭐ Sketch of the day no 1366 in my moleskine sketchbook is of Tyson the chocolate labrador.

Hi everyone, today’s pet portrait is is of Hugo the sausage dog. He’s my friend’s dog and my god dog. He passed away recently so this drawing is in his memory.
Dogs and animals bring so much joy to me and I hope you have been enjoying this series. 🐶
I’ve been drawing everyday in my sketchbook since lockdown and it has kept me sane and gives me a sense of accomplishment. The act of drawing is therapeutic and healing, similar to meditation as I have to focus and observe and be in the present for the duration of the drawing. Drawing calms me and declutters my mind.
I hope you will be inspired to start your own creative journey. #BulanCovid if you do so I can drop by to take a look
Stay home and stay creative 🌹

For 54 days I have been in Lockdown at home in Malaysia but my art has not been in Lockdown. It has travelled around the world and has connected me to wonderful people in the far corners of the world.
For this, I am truly grateful. Art connects, art brings joy, art heals.
Join me on a creative art challenge this weekend. Draw or write me a poem about your pet or favorite animal and #BulanCovid.

It’s been 53 days since lockdown. It’s hard to be positive during this challenging time with so much uncertainty in the world, so I decided early on to focus on my own mental health and my art instead which brings me so much joy.
Thank you my friends who have supported me financially with these Pet portrait commissions. It certainly has helped 🙏
